Get to Know us

Firstly, thank you for taking the time to read this page and considering us for your big day.
Hi, we’re Owain and Lauren. We’re partners in life and photography, and working together is second nature to us. We’ve been doing life (and work) together for over ten years, usually with cameras close by.

Our style is photo-journalism with a touch of editorial flair - which basically means your wedding gallery will be full of natural, emotional, candid moments, mixed with a handful of beautifully composed, frame-worthy shots that wouldn’t look out of place in a magazine.

We’re big believers that the best photos are taken when you forget we’re even there. We’ll quietly document your day, only guiding you for those special portrait moments. We’re also specialists at getting the best out of people who don’t love having their photo taken (which, honestly, is most people). With a blend of subtle directions and a very low-pressure approach, we create a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere which naturally comes through in our finished photos.

Because there are two of us, you get two perspectives throughout the day. While one of us is focused on the big moments, the other is catching the subtle details that you won't see while you're rushing around. Wedding days pass in a blur, and we want to make sure you don't miss anything.

At the end of it all, our goal is simple: to give you a wedding gallery that takes you right back to how it felt, not just how it looked.

If that sounds right for you, we’d love to hear about your plans.

Owain

Hi, I'm Owain. I grew up in Lancashire, but I'm now settled and naturalised in South Yorkshire (although it's still, and will always be, a barm cake). Having first studied archaeology and then technical theatre, I worked in theatrical lighting design for years before going full time in photography. My passion for creative lighting has naturally carried over into this world, and I’m always looking for the perfect, most flattering light that every venue has to offer.

Away from work, I love getting out into nature and cooking. I'm happiest either up a mountain, or experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen (with varied success). I'm a real foodie, whether I'm cooking or eating it.

A few of my favourite things:

Films:

Gladiator, Jurassic Park, The Dark Knight

Shows:

Supernatural, Futurama, Star Trek TNG

Music:

Late 90s and 2000s rock and metal... and Robbie Williams

Travel destination:

Italy

Food:

A perfect bacon double cheeseburger

Guilty pleasure:

Low budget horror and B movies.
Hey, I'm Lauren. I'm a born-and-bred Yorkshire girl (it's a teacake). I had always dreamt of running my own business, and after completing my degree and working in multiple business roles, I found my real passion for photography in lockdown. I even started my own fashion and lifestyle Instagram account to pass the time. I then went on to photographing events, which led me into wedding photography. My love for photography and content creation, goes hand in hand with my love for travel. I'm all about exploring new places, capturing the little (and big) moments, and turning them in to stories.

When not behind the camera, I am probably searching for our next holiday destination or for the best restaurant (I'm a foodie too, I just leave the cooking to Owain). From time to time, you may even see me pop up as an extra on TV and film (it's not as glamorous as some may think).

A few of my favourite things:

Films:

How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days, Just Go With It, Hidden Figures

Shows:

Nashville, Virgin River, Bridgerton

Music:

2000s RnB, Country

Travel destination:

Switzerland

Food:

Nando's

Guilty pleasure:

Tween films and series

Lauren
